The Blue Ridge Blues Society is having a contest to find the best Blues act to represent us at the 2009 International Blues Challenge held on Beale St. in Memphis, TN in Feb. of 09!!

The contest will be held Sunday July 13, 2008 at Blue 5 in Downtown Roanoke and space is limited so enter today to ensure that you get a slot!! Deadline for applications is now July 7th!

This contest is open to bands and duo or solo acts and the winner will receive at least $1000 in cash, a paid slot at The Blue Ridge Blues & BBQ Festival in July & The Big Lick Blues Festival in September, 8 hours of recording time at The Catawba Sound Studio, and of course the right to represent the BRBS at the 2009 IBC!!

We will have a Silent Auction with some fantastic items, Celebrity Judges, Raffles, Food & Drink Specials and of course Plenty of Great Blues Music!!
